Other password managers
Vikela also reads exports from Proton Pass, Dashlane, Keeper and KeePass (KDBX), among others. Choose the matching name in the file format list. If yours isn't listed, export to CSV and email us; we'll help.
Import into Vikela
- Open the vault on a computer and sign in.
- In the menu, choose Tools, then Import data.
- Choose where the items go: My vault for your own passwords, or your team to share them. When you import into a team, folders become shared folders.
- Under file format, choose the matching format from the list above.
- Choose the export file (or paste its contents), then select Import data.
- Vikela shows how many items it brought in. Compare that number with your old password manager.
Finish up
- Delete the export file and empty your bin or Trash. It holds your passwords in plain text.
- Open a few important logins in Vikela and check they look right.
- Keep your old account for a week, then close it once you're happy nothing is missing.
Coming soon: a guided import that merges duplicates, spots 2FA backup codes in your notes and suggests shared folders, all in about two minutes.
